The Slat Cleaner is a tool that was developed a few years ago by our father Chris Van Loy. At that time, he was struggling to keep his slatted pool cover clean and algae-free. In addition, he suffered from back pain, which made cleaning with just a high-pressure cleaner not an easy task, as he had to bend over all the time. The cleaning process was time-consuming and the results were not always perfect. Since there was no alternative solution available on the market, he started thinking outside the box. As an engineer who was used to coordinating the construction of production facilities for large pharmaceutical companies such as Johnson & Johnson, Pfizer, UCB Pharma and Merck Sharp & Dohme, he wanted to find a solution that would be both effective and efficient. A few months later, the Slat Cleaner was born!

Sadly, our father passed away in 2022 and as a tribute to him, we - his sons - decided to keep his Slat Cleaner alive and make it available to many more people, pool professionals and private customers.

Just like our father, we hear a lot of people who don’t like to see their pool cover turn green with algae. Furthermore, even after an intensive cleaning, sometimes algae remains, whether in the ‘hidden chamber’ or not. With our Slat Cleaner, connected to your pressure washer, all that will be a thing of the past. Our tool is custom designed, different for each customer, because not everyone uses the same pressure washer or has the same size pool. The Slat Cleaner is made of stainless steel, so it is a sustainable solution for the future. Using nothing but water, you can spray directly into the groove with high pressure, which allows you to clean your cover in an easy and efficient way, without having to use expensive chemicals.

So far we have sold our cleaning aid to many customers in Europe and beyond, bringing our father’s solution to pool owners and professionals in Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland, Sweden, the UK, France and even Australia. The aid is compatible with a wide range of pressure washers such as Karcher, Stihl, Dibo, Kränzle, Black & Decker, Einhell, Gerni, Bosch and many more. The current delivery time is 3 weeks.
